What you notify / file

Notify: Superintendent of the resident public school district (or accepting nonresident district) — not OSPI; Signed Declaration of Intent in the format prescribed by OSPI (form A-2); Annually by Sept 15, or within 2 weeks of the start of any public-school quarter/trimester/semester.

Testing / evaluation

State-Board-approved standardized achievement test (qualified individual); OR an annual academic progress assessment by a certificated person working in education

Required subjects

11 areas (RCW 28A.225.010(4)): occupational education, science, mathematics, language, social studies, history, health, reading, writing, spelling, and appreciation of art and music
