What you notify / file

Notify: Local school division superintendent (not the state DOE); Written Notice of Intent (certified mail rec.) incl. list of subjects + parent qualification evidence; Annually by Aug 15; if starting mid-year, as soon as practicable / within 30 days.

Testing / evaluation

Nationally normed test (composite ≥4th stanine/23rd pct, or equiv ACT/SAT/PSAT); evaluation letter from licensed teacher or master's-degree holder; college/correspondence transcript; or superintendent-approved assessment
