What you notify / file

Notify: Superintendent of the local school district of residence; Written notice of intent (NDE standard form) with attached educational plan; One-time, before beginning; or ≤10 days after withdrawal from public school; or ≤30 days after establishing residency. Refile only on name/address change; no annual renewal.

Testing / evaluation

No standardized testing or evaluation required.

Required subjects

English language arts (reading, composition, writing), mathematics, science, social studies (history, geography, economics, government)
