What you notify / file

Notify: Louisiana BESE / Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE); Form filing — initial application (online or paper) to LDOE/BESE; Within 15 days of beginning; renewed annually by Oct 1 (or within 12 months of approval).

Testing / evaluation

Portfolio packet; OR passing LEAP test; OR standardized test at/above grade level (CAT, Stanford, ITBS, ACT); OR certified-teacher written evaluation

Instruction hours

180 days

Required subjects

A curriculum of quality at least equal to public schools at the same grade level; renewal evidence covers Math, English, Social Studies, Science (no exclusive enumerated list)
